Wedding Celebration of Sonny and Mengyue

We met the couple several times before confirming on the wedding photography and videography package. They are nice guys but just that our pricing might not be at a favourable position as compared to some of their other vendors. But we are glad that they are comfortable with us and decided to sign with us.

First part of the wedding video and photo : actual solemnisation session

We arrived at The Carlton City hotel in Tanjong Pagar for an hour shoot of their solemnisation. The place is cosy and it was our first time there. The room was set up with petals on the floor and a simple solemnisation begins and ends in official manner. With some time remaining, we are able to do some shots in the main hall and outside the hotel.

We moved on and the next highlight of the day is their wedding pledge at Faber Peak. The view was gorgeous and you overlook the whole Mount Faber from here. With the spiral staircase in mind, we decided to ask the bride to do a trial of walking down the stairs and we were able to capture the angelic face of the bride from this angle. The sun started to set down and their pledge to each other was so touching that i almost tear myself. The bride though did have tears.

Next is the dinner on the 2nd floor glass hall and a cosy setup of approx. 8 tables filled the room. It’s very simple. Just the cake cutting followed by the toast and individual photoshoot to end the day.

After the day was over, our work still continued. Editing the video, adding suitable effects and double-checking the results. The newlywed couples often have constructive feedback, which we happily incorporate. When the production of the film is ready, we make sure everyone loves it. All in all, everything went smoothly and we were able to complete the whole movie happily as always.

Wedding Celebration of Poh Siang and Kai Ying

To be frank, we did something unthinkable of ourselves. We signed the couple without first meeting them. It’s not a norm that we do that since we always like to set the expectations right before signing up with a couple. Over the course of email communication, the couple gave us the confidence that says we want to shoot their wedding.

We arrived at The Fullerton hotel directly and was met with beautiful sunlight shining into the hotel room. We were secretly smiling to ourselves that this is the perfect lighting for a wedding photo and wedding video. As the couple went with the simple wedding of just preparation, solemnisation and the luncheon, we immerse ourselves completely in the aircon setup. Thank you so much as it’s not always that we have this opportunity to be in a cold environment the whole time. The room was separated into 2 sessions, the bride was put in one of the room for the makeup session while we try to ‘escort’ the others to the living room.

The solemnisation took place at around 11am at the 5th storey. Having shot at that place before, we knew immediately that audio will be affected if we do not have a recorder plugged into their mixer. We did that immediately after seeing the AV engineer and kudos to him, he was experienced to know what we wanted.

Luncheon was held at the cosy 4th level with probably is just a 12 table setup with spacious place to do our videography and photography. The whole wedding went as per planned and with a luncheon on a weekdays, you can see why their friends are able to take leave just to attend their wedding. They are such nice person.

Wedding Celebration of Choon Long & Gene

When Choon Long and Gene first enquire about our services, we knew the first thing that we need to do is to get this couple to sign up with us. They have such joyful personality and thoroughly enjoyed our works too. We are so glad that they took up our wedding photography and videography services.

First part of the wedding video: early morning gatecrash session

The groom arrives just on time for the gatecrash but as the makeup session is still ongoing, we are not able to proceed down to welcome him with our cameras. After the veiling of the bride, we proceed down and here we have Choon Long shouting through the car windows “I LOVE GENE”. Yup. That is just part of the plans from the bride’s relatives though it makes such perfect start for the game. A true warm up session.

The gatecrash started at the void deck and with the spacious surrounding, we were able to use our glidecam to do some shots. Chris (photographer) and I enjoyed ourselves and laugh through the games as the brothers and the groom played sportingly. When we went up, somemore games were prepared for the groom.

Our photographer was able to capture some shots in the hotel surrounding before the ROM while the videographer starts editing for the express highlight. Our ultimate goal is to show their true love through video, just the like the newlyweds and their family and relatives feel that day.

The video session ends around 10.30am and we have to rush to edit the express highlights (same day edit) to be screened during the luncheon banquet.

The wedding lumch banquet was held at Rendenvous Hotel. The ballroom was long with spectacular lightings. Recording video can be a challenge, but we make sure to be prepared. Our use high-definition cameras and being well prepared in regards of lights, space and other factors, is part of the normal preparation process for recording day.

Wedding Celebration of Stanley and Rosanne

We got to know Rosanne when we were doing a corporate cartoon animation for their company in Singapore. She was one of the coordinator for that project. From that initial meetup and subsequent project for her company, she mentioned about her wedding and after some more meetups, she decided to take up our photography and videography for her wedding.

First part of the wedding video: early morning gatecrash session

Though we find that Stanley was a bit hostile during our first meetup, we found out that he was indeed a fun person and so glad that Rosanne found someone she can lean on. The day started early. As you would expect, the bride and groom were very excited about the day of their union.  It was pitch black when the groom arrived for the gatecrashing session. We are always well prepared for these type of lighting situation and lights are the first thing that we put together. 

During the gatecrash session, the brothers were simply tortured by the sisters and the groom, as sporting as he is, decided to take the wasabi by the tube. Yup. You heard me, by the tube. Just taking a small portion of it can choke you, by the tube, I can’t imagine. The rest of the games weren’t much of an issue for the gang and they breezed through them.

When Stanley fetched Rosanne out of her house, the sun has come out and we loved the sunshine as it provides us with the perfect pictures and video. Even though the couple has been dating for years, we could still see how loving the couple was by the look in their eyes. Our ultimate goal is to show their true love through video, just the like the newlyweds and their family and relatives feel that day.

Along the way, we went to Blair road for an outdoor shoot as the couple mentioned that the place has great memorable moments for them as they got to know each other there.

The morning session ends around lunchtime and we have to rush back to our office to edit the express highlights (same day edit) to be screened during the dinner banquet.

The wedding dinner banquet was held at Copthorne King’s Hotel. The ballroom was spectacular and though it wasn’t the biggest ballroom, our photographer was still able to move around easily when taking the table shots. Recording video can be a challenge, but we make sure to be prepared. Our use high-definition cameras and being well prepared in regards of lights, space and other factors, is part of the normal preparation process for recording day.
